Research profile
Main research interests are related to the effects of differentiated organic and mineral fertilisation on C and N efficiency of systems under arable und horticultural crops, derived mainly from long-term fertilisation experiments (LTEs) at IGZ and in Germany and Europe. These LTEs are also the basis for deriving pedotransfer functions from physical and chemical soil properties for modelling soil processes. In order to apply these findings to heterogenous field conditions, he uses geophysical measurement principles for digital soil mapping and develops appropriate on-the-go soil sensors.
