Successive to the first version in 2018, the symposium will be held under the auspices of “Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung-Kolleg”. The symposium is a platform to exchange cutting-edge methods of culturomics and OMICs technologies for exploring microbiota repertoires to explore Synthetic Microbial Communities (SynCom) as future instruments to face climate changes and to support agriculture in stressed environments.

The international symposium is co-organised by the IGZ, represented by Dr Silke Ruppel, and the University of Cairo, represented by Prof Dr Nabil Hegazi, with the support of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
