It tracks the same 3000 households  and 8000 individuals over time since 2010. The economic importance of smallholder agriculture and  horticultural production and commercialization is increasing rapidly in this Central Asian transition country. During the fifth wave of data collection in 2016, detailed information on land use, crop  choice, inputs, productivity, as well as marketing and export strategies was gathered. The data analysis allows an in-depth assessment of the long-term economic and nutritional benefits of  horticultural production, commercialization and exports, as well as land use changes in a transition country as Kyrgyzstan.
