Research profile
The research focuses on characterizing regulatory networks in plant biotic and abiotic stress defense at the proteome level. In a range of projects, methods are developed for targeted and non-targeted proteomic analysis of plant tissues and subcellular structures (microsomal membranes, plasma membrane, apoplastic fluid) to study the plant’s response to environmental cues. A MALDI-TOF-based method has been developed for the rapid identification and de-replication of microorganisms from plant and environmental samples. Furthermore, we employ mass spectrometry-based imaging (MSI) technique for the spatial mapping of metabolites in plant tissue.
