Directions to Großbeeren

 By Car:
expressway A10 (Berliner Ring):
Leave the expressway A10 at exit "Genshagen" and drive in direction Genshagen/Großbeeren/Berlin. Follow the road to the village Großbeeren. After 250m you turn right onto Theodor-Echtermeyer-Weg.
from Berlin:
Take the B101 to Ludwigsfelde. Leave the B101 at exit "Güterverkehrszentrum (GVZ) Großbeeren" and drive in Großbeeren. Follow the main road through Großbeeren (leave the roudabout on the second exit - direction Genshagen) until you turn left onto the Theodor-Echtermeyer Weg just before you leave the village.
 
Puplic Transport:
At railway station Ludwigsfelde take the bus 710 or 720. Starting in Berlin take the S2 to "Buckower Chaussee" and go on with bus 710 to Ludwigsfelde or take the S2 to "Blankenfelde" and go on with bus 720 to Ludwigsfelde. Leave the bus at stop "Genshangener Straße" in Großbeeren. The bus stop is about 50-100m away from Theodor-Echtermeyer-Weg.
In may 2006 the railway station Großbeeren was reopened. The line RE4 (Wismar - Berlin - Luckenwalde - Jüterbog) stops there. From the railroad station you walk about 30 minutes into town or take the bus until “Großbeeren Denkmal” and walk past the roundabout (direction Genshagen) until you reach Theodor-Echtermeyer-Weg on your left. This bus comes only a few times per day.

Directions to Kühnhausen/Erfurt

 By Car:
A4 from interchange "Hermsdorfer Kreuz"
  • Use exit Erfurt-Vieselbach (AS 47b) and drive in direction Sömmerda
  • At the first traffic lights turn left to "B7 Erfurt-Visselbach / Sömmerda
  • Turn right onto B7 to Erfurt, Sömmerda
  • Follow the B7 to exit "Konrad-Adenauer-Straße", go on driving in direction A71–Sömmerda / Erfurt-Stotternheim / Erfurt-Ost
  • Drive onto A71 in direction Schweinfurt / Erfurt-Stotternheim
  • Leave A71 at exit "Erfurt-Mittelhausen" (AS 9) and turn left onto August-Röbling-Straße
  • At the end of August-Röbling-Straße turn left onto Kühnhäuser Straße
  • The institute is on the left hand-side, about 50 meters after the sign for "Kühnhausen"
expressway A4 from interchange "Kirchheimer Dreieck"
  • leave the A4 on exit "Erfurt-Mittelhausen" (AS 9)
  • at August-Röbling-Straße (1st traffic lights) turn left
  • turn left at Kühnhäuser Straße
  • the institute is on the left hand-side, about 50 meters after the sign for "Kühnhausen"
Public Transport:
At railroad station "Erfurt Hauptbahnhof" take a train to Nordhausen or Bad Langensalza to railroad station Kühnhausen. To site Kühnhausen you have to walk about 10 minutes (direction Mittelhausen).
