Aufgaben und Arbeitsgebiete:
Die Bibliothek des Institutes ist eine wissenschaftliche Spezialbibliothek für den Gemüse- und Zierpflanzenbau. Aufgaben der Bibliothek sind die Beschaffung, Erschließung und Bereitstellung der Literatur ihrer Sammelgebiete (Gartenbau, Biologie, Mikrobiologie, Ökologie, Pflanzenernährung, Pflanzenvermehrung, Pflanzenphysiologie, Modellierung, Ernährung u.a.) aus dem In- und Ausland. Die Bibliothek hält in ihren Sammlungen etwa 61.000 Bücher- und Zeitschriftenbände, Publikationen, Prospekte und Kataloge bereit, 55 Zeitschriften werden laufend bezogen.
